Military Weekend 2026

Join us for our largest and most anticipated event of the year — Military Weekend — a full-scale celebration of military history from World War I to the present day. This three-day event brings history to life with living history demonstrations, vehicle displays, and opportunities to connect with veterans and historians.

Weekend Highlights

Military Vehicle Show — Over 100 historic military vehicles on display, with tanks, jeeps, and half-tracks — many fully operational and demonstrated throughout the weekend.

Militaria Show & Flea Market — Indoor and outdoor vendors offering militaria, collectibles, and gear.

Living History Encampments — Walk through encampments representing WWI through the modern era, staffed by knowledgeable living historians who explain daily life, field equipment, and the realities of wartime service.

Vehicle, Artillery & Weapons Demonstrations — Experts demonstrate the operation and history of military vehicles, weapons, and field equipment in safe, supervised presentations.

Tank & Military Vehicle Rides — Ride aboard our authentic, fully restored military vehicles.

Veteran Meet & Greet — Connect with veterans who share their firsthand accounts and answer questions.

Author Book Signings — Meet authors and have your books signed.

Kids' Activities — Scavenger hunts, hands-on artifact handling, and Junior Soldier drills designed to make history fun for all ages.

A typical Military Weekend runs Friday through Sunday with programming throughout the day. The schedule is subject to change; final programming is posted closer to the event.

Admission & Details

Location: 845 Crooked Creek Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Free on-site parking for all visitors. Rain or shine — outdoor events may be adjusted for weather, and indoor exhibits remain open.

Vendors & Reenactors

We welcome vendors, reenactors, living history groups, and military vehicle owners who want to take part in Military Weekend. To register, email us at militaryweekend@visitww2.com. Registration closes in early July — please email us to confirm this year's deadline before then.
