About the WWII American Experience Museum
Preserving history, educating generations, and honoring those who served.
Our Story
A labor of love in the heart of historic Gettysburg
The Buck family created the WWII American Experience Museum after hosting visitors and sharing their collection for nearly 23 years. What began as a private passion for preserving World War II history grew into a mission to tell the contextual story of U.S. involvement in the war through the eyes, experiences, and memories of the people of Gettysburg, Adams County, and the surrounding region.
Today, we are a designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all proceeds support our preservation and educational programs. We are proud to welcome veterans, families, students, and history enthusiasts from across the country who share our passion for honoring the Greatest Generation.
