The first official tank training school in American history opened in March 1918 in Gettysburg, Pa and was called, Camp Colt. The main sections of the camp were located on the tragic fields of the last Confererate attack at Gettysburg, Pickett’s Charge. A very young Captain Dwight D. Eisenhower was assigned the role of commander.  View our very large collection of Camp Colt photos, postcards, letters, and “Treat em’ Rough” publications.

On display for one weekend only!
