Thursday, May 8th (4:00 PM): Remember Us Book Launch & Cocktail Reception with Robert Edsel at Gettysburg’s new WWII American Experience Museum
Join #1 New York Times Best-Selling author Robert Edsel for a reception and conversation centered on his new book, Remember Us: American Sacrifice, Dutch Freedom, and A Forever Promise Forged in World War II, a story about freedom and its cost set against the backdrop of WWII. Nearly 80 years ago, American soldiers gave their lives to free a nation they did not know. In return, Dutch families stepped forward to ensure that their sacrifices were never forgotten. That heartwarming commitment is told through the experience of two women, key characters in this sweeping narrative of love, courage, and sacrifice. The event includes free admission to Gettysburg’s new WWII American Experience Museum, as well as drinks and light hors d’oeuvres. The event will include a book signing.
